Stan’s is turning up the heat this Sunday with the Hot Wings Challenge: Rookies vs. Vets, a fiery, Hot Ones-style showdown in partnership with BvB Dallas—a nonprofit organization of young professionals raising funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s research and care.
Here’s how it works: Two teams—BvB Rookies and BvB Vets—will go head-to-head, battling through 10 wings coated in sauces that get hotter with each round. From tangy to tear-inducing, every bite turns up the pressure as we see who can handle the most heat without backing down.

This Sunday, August 3, things are heating up at Stan’s Blue Note—and not just because it’s August in Texas.
Stan’s is proud to partner with BvB Dallas for a no-holds-barred Hot Wings Challenge: Rookies vs. Vets, happening from 2:00 to 3:30 PM, this Sunday, August 3! Inspired by the viral Hot Ones YouTube series, this event pits brave BvB contestants—rookies versus veterans—against a lineup of ten wings doused in progressively hotter sauces from the official Hot Ones Season 27 collection.
From the tropical tang of “Shaquanda’s Hot Tropic” to the full-blown chaos of “The Last Dab: Xperience” (rated 11/10 and packed with Pepper X), each wing brings more heat—and more pressure. Contestants must raise $30 per wing in support of Alzheimer’s research, with the goal of making it through all ten sauces and hitting the $300 fundraising mark. The competitor who raises the most and handles the heat best will walk away with serious bragging rights, exclusive BvB merch, a $100 Stan’s gift card, and likely some very sweaty selfies.
If you’re not familiar with BvB Dallas, they’re a powerhouse group of young professionals using creativity, competition, and community to tackle Alzheimer’s disease head-on. What started as a friendly powder-puff football game between blondes and brunettes has grown into a major fundraising force—raising over $6 million for Alzheimer’s research, treatment, and care in North Texas since 2008. Their annual Blondes vs. Brunettes football game is the grand finale, but BvB hosts a wide range of themed events like this one throughout the year. Best of all, 100% of the money raised stays local, benefiting Dallas-based organizations working to improve outcomes for those impacted by Alzheimer’s.
It’s philanthropy with personality—and Stan’s is proud to be part of it.
